Guidelines and Support
The K20 Center works to connect researchers and K-12 schools through professional development, technology transfer, and service opportunities.
The K20 Center is committing to working across traditional fields to solve complex problems facing the 21st century global society and supports researchers through
- An established network of over 500 schools;
- Track record of large, successful grants (federal, state, and private);
- University infrastructure and state-of-the-art facilities on research campus;
- Support for testing and commercialization of products; and
- Collaborative research community to exchange ideas.
Individuals interested in interdisciplinary research with the K20 Center should:
- Provide a brief concept paper (2-3 pages) outlining proposal goals and objectives that
- provide data to support a clear connection between the proposed research and identified K-12 needs and service to schools;
- describe how the proposed research meets the needs of educators and builds capacity for innovative practice in K-12 schools; and
- describe how the proposed research complements the framework and theoretical beliefs of the K20 Center (IDEALS and 10 Practices of High Achieving Schools).
