The K20 Center and the Department of Educational Leadership are offering a cohort program in Educational Administration, Curriculum and Supervision (EACS) with an emphasis in technology leadership.

Ph.D. Overview

The EACS Ph.D. emphasis in Technology Leadership is a 95-hour Ph.D. degree that focuses on technology leadership using the IDEALS Leadership Framework and 10 Practices of High-Achieving Schools. The degree emphasizes improving schools and communities through:

  • examining conceptual and practical models of high achieving schools and communities;
  • integrating technology to enhance school and community development;
    developing partnerships and practicing collaborative leadership for schools and communities;
  • designing, implementing and assessing a school and community renewal project.

Delivery Format

OU’s unique compressed format, combined with advanced technology makes this an efficient and effective way for students to obtain a doctoral degree. The Ph.D. is offered as a cohort to enhance collaboration and the development of a learning community. The Ph.D. program will have fall and spring classes with a rigorous online component combined with OU on-site instruction one Friday & Saturday, every other month. Summer courses will be held at the OU Norman campus to meet required research tools coursework.

Students

Potential students are Oklahoma school administrators who have completed the Phased I OK-ACTS Leadership program, as well as other educational leaders who have a strong foundation in the IDEALS Leadership Framework and 10 Practices of High-Achieving Schools.
