Investing in Oklahoma Schools and Communities

In 1996, the University of Oklahoma (OU) made a novel investment designed to improve student learning by connecting K-12 schools across Oklahoma with each other and with OU faculty and students to form a seamless, high-quality kindergarten through graduate (K20) education system to enhance Oklahoma’s economy and well-being.

The investment has paid off through the creation of OU’s K20 Center for Educational and Community Renewal which serves as a statewide, interdisciplinary educational research and development center and a conduit between university researchers and over 500 schools and communities in Oklahoma.
