Winter Institute ExhibitorsThursday, January 29th.  2009The K20 Center and OK-ACTS selectively invites vendors to display products and services that support the mission and framework of the K20 Center. Why exhibit at Winter Institute?OK-ACTS has trained over 1000 Oklahoma lead school administrators in school change and technology integration. These administrators are eligible to purchase technology by applying for the OETT Grants-to-Schools grant or they have received USDE Technology funding through Oklahoma’s Title II.D grants. At Winter Institute, over 500 OK-ACTS administrators and teachers come together to share best practices and collaborate about developing professional learning communities and integrating technology. Winter Institute provides a unique opportunity for attendees to learn about new technologies in the context of the K20 Center framework. When is the registration deadline?Exhibitors must register no later than  January 01, 2009. To be included in the program, exhibitors must register before January 01, 2009.Why can’t just anyone exhibit? We chose to minimize the number of exhibitors and select those who best support the center’s work and who’s products and services align with the center’s framework. Can we present a session or workshop? An area will be set aside for a total of eight 20-30 minute mini vendor presentations. A poster will announce the mini-session schedule.Vendors and companies cannot be lead session presenters. Vendors and companies can be co-presenters or support a presenter for session presentations. What does it cost?Booth fees start at $350. Contributions will reduce fees. Your email invitation will note possible fee reductions from past contributions to the K20 Center. Invoices will be mailed out after Winter Institute (we do not charge for no-shows).How do exhibitors contribute to Winter Institute? We encourage exhibitors to contribute to Winter Institute events and/or provide door prizes which will reduce booth fees. Contributions to the work of the K20 Center will also result in reduced booth fees. Our attendees have always been excited by the quality of door prizes awarded at each Winter Institute, especially prizes of educational value. Door prize winners are chosen randomly at the closing reception (by registration ballot tickets) and exhibitors have the opportunity to hand out the prizes in person. Exhibitors with significant door prizes are provided a special introduction. This is a great way to get your name heard by the attendees, and a chance for us to let the attendees know the significance of your contribution to our center’s work and the state of Oklahoma. (Prizes can be drawn and awarded at exhibitor booths, but we do not announce these). All registered K-12 affiliated participants (excluding exhibitors and K20 Center staff) are eligible for door prizes. There are several opportunities for event sponsorship. Sponsors in full or part will be appropriately recognized at the event. What space is available (Booth Setup)? Booths are approximately 8′x6′ feet and consist of a single 72"x30" draped table. We will provide an outlet within 10ft of the table. If you plan to use a projector, you must bring a screen. Two chairs will be provided (more are available). Depending on availability and space, a second table may be requested.Set-up/DismantleSet-up begins at 7:00 A.M. The exhibit space will close at 5:00 P.M. All exhibits must be removed by 6:30pm.Can our company get a list of attendees? No. We do not provide attendee lists. We will provide exhibitor contact information in attendee’s packets.
